Discovery Education: Offers information on Homework help, ways to motivate your child and link to Webmath, a math help site which generates answers to specific math problems as entered by the user and walks the student through the process of how to solve it.
US Department of Education: Great resource for parents of students of all ages. Offers information on help with homework, math, reading, special needs students, IEPs, and basic information like preparing for school. Also offers college preparatory checklists and financial aid information.
Warren County Public Library: Visit your local library website for access to their card catalog to find a book or use their research section for access to many databases for a variety of topics. Also a calendar of events and online book chats you can join!
Khan Academy: Math, Science, and Social Studies lessons & tutorials to help your child refresh their memory of concepts learned in school.
Quizlet: Use your vocabulary words or study guides to create on-line flash cards, games to help you study and quizzes to test yourself! There is also a mobile app to download on smartphones or ipods.
Spelling City : A wonderful resource to help your students study their spelling words. This site allows you to enter your own spelling word list and creates games and tests for students to use to practice. Hang mouse is a student favorite! This is a free site but a premium membership is available for purchase which unlocks other games and vocabulary study options as well. Teachers can create a class account and students can access their class list easily through the search option.
ABCYA.com: Educational computer games for kids grades K-5. Also provides a section on great educational apps for iphone, ipods, etc.
